Let there be light
Genesis 1:1-5 - On the first day of creation "the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep." Just as my life was formless because thru my heritage and my choices the image of my Creator had been erased. My life was also void of goodness and righteousness and darkness had taken over my soul. But the Spirit of God never ceased moving and working on that wasted life, until one day, totally thru the power and grace of God, there was light.
Once I opened the door of my heart and invited God to come in and abide with me (Rev. 20) He entered with light and life and I have never been the same again. Where there was darkness He brought light and joy. He brought the dead wood of nothingness to life and I started blooming.
When He comes again to pick up His children I expect to return with Him to heaven where there will never again be darkness. Once again His children will eat from the tree of life (Rev 22:2) and never die again. He will be the sun and the light and never again will sin and suffering be known.
Thank you Lord for showing that just as it was in the beginning, so it will be again in the end after you have returned for your faithful children.
"Then God said, 'Let there be light'; and there was light."
